Abortion- Quality of life issue
Despite what some people think this issue affects all of us. We have to protect life. A fetus can’t speak, but, we still have to protect those that can’t protect themselves. If you don’t see the baby having rights and if you don’t care about the abortion issue please consider these next few questions.

You are in a car wreck and you are injured. You are now in a coma and there is no one there to speak for you. You don’t have enough medical insurance. You are going to be expensive and inconvenient to society to provide care for you. We don’t know if you will have a good life when you get out of a coma. We don’t know if you will have physical or mental issues. What should happen to you?

You are 80 years old and you get sick and the same overall scenario happens as listed above. If someone says, “Well, they lived a good long life maybe it is time for them to pass.” What should happen to you?

You get Cancer, but, you don’t have the money to get needed Cancer treatment. What should happen?

If we don’t protect a baby I don’t think it is a long stretch to say that you could be in danger if you ever became a financial, physical or emotional burden to someone else?

I am not judging anyone and I know that having a baby can be a huge challenge, but, a baby is a huge blessing. Please consider taking another look at this issue. Remember, the Federal Government is getting ready to take over medical care in the near future.

A website and video that I ask you to consider visiting is www.heartchanger.com. Ray Comfort presents a great video that is 33 minutes and free to watch.

Opportunities for Veterans!
We have roughly 17,000 unemployed people in our district. We have 14,500 Veterans. Veterans have Federal Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits. If each Veteran tapped into their Federal benefits we could drop the unemployment rate from nearly 11% to 3%! We can do this at NO COST to us locally. We can create opportunities for veterans and non-veterans right now! WE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION TO SHOW THAT THE J.K. ROGERS JOBS PROGRAM WILL WORK!

Creating the Right Business Climate
Small business and entrepreneurs are the best way to create jobs. I want big employers to come here. If we create the right business climate they will. My competitors believe that incentives and taxes will bring companies here. This is not true. Yes, lower taxes and incentives are a selling point. Major companies want these types of things, however, they NEED water, an educated work force, quick access to transportation services, such, as highways, airports, safety for their employers and most importantly a business climate that enhances their product or service. With 3,230 counties and districts all competing for the same big businesses we would have to “sell the farm” to get them here. Recently, Georgia was able to get Caterpillar to open a plant in Georgia. It will cost over $70,000,000 (70 million) to do so over 20 years for only 1,400 jobs.

My plan is to focus on SMALL BUSINESS and ENTREPRENUERS. The emphasis will be on the PEOPLE THAT ARE ALREADY HERE! I would rather give our local residents and incoming entrepreneurs the money rather than just one company. We could have given 14,000 small businesses $5,000 to create jobs for the same amount and we would have been more diversified. Focusing on the entrepreneur, especially the people that are already living here is the best way to move forward and create jobs.

Although Facebook is not a local example it is a good example of a single, small idea leading to the creation of a business. That small business is now experiencing tremendous growth. It was started in a dorm room with less than $2,000. Facebook then moved to California from Massachusetts. Why? It wasn’t because of taxes. It was because the business climate of having highly talented employees and up to date technology readily available to them. This criteria was critical for growing their business. We have the talent right here to create a business climate that will create a job explosion. WE CAN DO THIS RIGHT NOW! WE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION!

Your Tax Dollar
There are elected officials that will tell you that they will never raise taxes. What they will do, however, is increase fees that you might not have visibility on. They figure if you don’t know about it or if you can’t tell that it is really a tax then you can’t or won’t hold them accountable. For an elected official to say that they will never do something is not an intelligent policy decision. When they say that they won’t raise taxes they may not raise taxes, but, I promise you they will raise fees or costs that you can’t easily find out about. In essence, they will have taxed you it will just be called something else.

The commitment that I will make to you is that I will never vote to spend a dollar of your money unless I can get a dollar or more of value for you. As an example of my ability to stretch a dollar I want you to see how we spend money during this campaign. I urge you to donate just $1 to the J.K. Rogers campaign and see what we do with that $1.

Communication and Credibility
Most issues are easily solvable if people communicate properly. One thing that I will do for you is communicate “Your Story” at the Capitol. I will also communicate to you what is going on at the Capitol to keep you informed. I will ask for your input and the input of the local leaders before I vote on something. In addition, I believe in you and have confidence in you. Therefore, I don’t believe in playing fancy “shell” games with laws, business and taxation. As an example, if we promise to quit collecting tolls on a road after it is paid for then we need to follow through on that and quit collecting tolls on the road. It does not matter that the road is making the state a lot of toll money. The issue is credibility and we need to honor our commitment to you. Right now many taxpayers do not trust the government. To regain the trust of the people we have to do honest business with you.

Show me the money!
Where does your money go? Our people average just under $20,000 a year.
$20,000
- $5,000 tax liability (approximate)
Total $15,000
- $6,000 travel to work expense (60 cents per mile for gas, oil, tires etc.)
Total $9,000
After paying just two expenses you are down to just $9,000. You have not paid for housing, utilities, food, entertainment or any other bills.
Great news!
JK has the solution: Creating your own local job saves a couple $12,000! Buying a house also gets you potential tax deductions. You could save nearly 50% of your expenses. How would that change your life? YOU CAN DO THAT RIGHT NOW!
I want to increase your quality of life immediately. Ask JK how with the 1 minute JK challenge.
